Banksy refused to reveal his identity for obvious reasons and in response the EUIPO ruled against his copyright & trademark rights of Flower Thrower.

As if the name is more important than his talent, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) ultimately ruled against the artist, determining that he could not be identified as the unquestionable owner of the image. Why the EUIPO didn’t accept the PestCrontrol service of authentication for Banksy Artworks is a mystery.
