Andy used Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus to alter it via PaintPro. Obviously, the stemp tool was used and available before Adobe Photoshop was published.

Looks like even Adobe was inspired by that since their key-visual for Adobe Illustrator used Botticelli’s Venus for over two decades.

However, we are sure that he wouldn’t be offended by the way we use his concepts and visualizations. His taste for exclusive and grey sources of photographies is documented well. There are thousands of ways we are different, but we mentioned it not just at the WTF page before…
