The Desktop Publishing aka DTP programs been a digital revolution for the pre-print and design business during the 90’s. Outstanding results became possible on Apple Computers with Aldus PageMaker and made instant screen results. Today we see the concept of WYSIWYG realized for websites, but prior to 1994 there was no internet like millennials take for granted.

This WYSIWYG revolution was based on Adobe PostScript, Aldus PageMaker, Adobe Illustrator, Aldus Freehand, Adobe Photoshop, Aldus Fontographer, Adobe Streamline, Quark XPress, Adobe Dimensions.
This was a asyncron battle against Quantel, SCREEN, Cromemco, Berthold, and Linotype — in the end it made those former giants fade away in history.
